UN Secretary-General’s Climate Address
On September 10th, the Secretary-General addressed diplomats, media members, business leaders and young people about how urgent it is that we take action to address climate change.
Secretary-General António Guterres outlined the danger, highlighted solutions, and emphasized the need for greater ambition and stronger leadership in addressing what he has called “the defining threat of our time”.

The key themes of this summit are healthy energy systems, inclusive economic growth, sustainable communities, land and ocean stewardship, and transformative climate investments.

The 73rd session will open on 18 September 2018, and will be presided by Ms. María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés, of Ecuador.

Theme: "The Culture of Peace: A Credible Pathway to Sustaining Peace"
On Wednesday, September 5th, Sr. Janet and Faith attended the High Level Forum on the Culture of Peace.
“What did I do for peace today?”
Ambassador Anwarul K Chowdhury asked each of us to reflect on this at the end of our day, in an effort to foster a culture of peace within our own individual lives, as a step in the process of creating a sustainable culture of peace in our world.
