Khoi M. Nguyen
Newman University
Sophomore year, Pre-Nursing student
Since I was introduced to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), I have developed an interest in them, especially in ending hunger and poverty; in ensuring that all children have access to quality education and all people have access to affordable and quality healthcare; and in reducing inequalities and promoting gender equality. I am also interested in the issues of human trafficking, child labor, refugee resettlement, and immigration.
As an intern for Partnership for Global Justice, I plan to focus on sustainability, food security, education, and health.

Arthur Zeltser
Molloy College
Senior year, History major
As an individual compelled with History and culture, I am also fascinated with foreign cultures and traditions. Being a global citizen, it is in my best interest to study these foundations and incorporate some of them into my daily life, such as studying a foreign language. To manifest my love for the globe, I have visited many foreign nations: Belgium, Canada, Croatia, the Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Mexico, Monaco, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the Vatican.
In my opinion, if one wishes to eliminate any detrimental factors such as ignorance and bigotry, studying the history of the globe is vital. History is what alters the foundation of global cultures and societies and by absorbing foreign history, one can accentuate on current global issues such as conflicts, gender inequality, and poverty. Conflict is a potent principle, but gender inequality and poverty should not be disregarded either.
As an intern, I would like to accentuate on the topics covered at the conferences at the United Nations through my journal articles, since efforts to eliminate gender inequality and poverty are, according to the officials at the United Nations, in fact rather vigorous and deserve more acclaim from the public. Eliminating these factors is not easy and requires cooperation from all the members of the globe. This is why as an intern for the Partnership for Global Justice, I would like to focus on these two topics.
